Product Description
The Hess Nerve Root Retractor is used by neurosurgeons to mobilize and protect critical structures like nerves in spinal surgery. Its overall size is 17.5 cm and features a large hollow handle with an anteroinferior finger rest which provides a better feel and control to the operator. The shaft is short and angles forwards at a 90 degree angle to form the long robust blade. The edge of the blade is curved downwards to form a lip, and this is designed to protect the underlying structures from inadvertent injury. The featured blade is 3 mm wide, and blades that are 5 mm and 7 mm wide are also available to accommodate different anatomical requirements. We manufacture Hess Nerve Root Retractors from premium grade surgical stainless steel that can be readily sterilized for re-use and ensure reliable function.
